10 Day Juice Cleanse - Day 4

10 Day Juice Cleanse - Day 4

Day 4

After 2am finish, 2 overnight wake ups and a 7am alarm (2 little people) this is not the best formula for being bright and ready to go in the morning! Regardless, we were out of bed and ready to take on Day 4 with 7 litres of fresh juice and 4 litres of Alkaline water between us.

I chose an immunity juice today to give us an added boost of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Manganese, B1 and healing enzymes such as Bromelain. Pineapple is a powerful immune booster, energiser and regenerator to the body so I mixed it with some Turmeric and Ginger for potency.

This recipe has to be hands down one of my favourite I have created. You don't feel as though you are cleansing at all, but rather that you are relaxing on a beach somewhere enjoying a refreshing cocktail. The kids love this juice as much as we do!

Immune Booster Juice

12 Carrots

1/2 large Pineapple

1 piece of Ginger (to taste)

1 inch piece of fresh Turmeric

Cut peeled pineapple into large chunks and add to the juicer alternating with carrots. Add about inch of both ginger ad turmeric. You can add more if you like.

Makes 1 litre

The Alkaliser Green Juice

1 bunch English Spinach

10 stalks Celery

3 long Cucumbers

1/2 Romaine/Butter lettuce

1/2 Fennel bulb

8-10 Apples

1 lemon

Chop and prepare all your fresh produce and alternate as you put into the juicer.

Makes 2.5-3 litres
